While in the process of designing my dining room, I added built-in bookcases into the space, but was terrified of the thought

of having to style them. Typically I can Pinterest my through any design challenge, but the examples I kept finding were made for

model homes or showroom displays and not spaces where humans actually dwelled.

Instead of having someone come in and style the bookcases for me, Visual Therapy Design's video consultation was just what I

needed to give me the confidence to define and style my own space with the treasures I have collected over the years. As a Black

creative, I really wanted/needed my space to finally represent me and not some bleached out trend. With the help of Visual Therapy

Design, I have a reverent ardor for my space and design.

Five years ago I moved into a condo portion of a 1917 manor located in Portland, OR. It had beautiful bones, 10 feet and a half tall

ceilings, two fireplaces, hardwood floors, intricate molding and original fixtures-- but I had no idea where to begin when it came to decorating.

That's when Tay from Visual Therapy Design came in! She helped me design my main room which includes an open concept living room and dining area. It has an awkward layout and she was able to help me place the furniture for the best vibe while remaining functional. She created vision

boards from my inspiration pics and even helped source all the items. In the end it was absolutely perfect! Every person I invite into my home comments on how beautiful the room is and how good they feel when they're in it. This result isn't an easy thing to accomplish and Tay was able
